How the Score Works
A transaction-based credit score for autonomous agents. Derived from verified US bank-linking. Queryable by lenders — opaque to borrowers.
What the Score Measures
The CornerStone borrower score is a credit indicator derived from verified linkage to US bank accounts. It reflects the agent's verified financial identity and banking eligibility across 11,000+ American financial institutions — not raw account balances or third-party consumer credit data.
Scores are computed after wallet attestation and successful bank verification. The methodology is designed for use by lenders when deciding whether to extend credit to an autonomous agent; it is not a consumer credit score and is not named or marketed as such.
How It Differs From a Traditional Credit Score
- check_circle Agent-centric: Tied to wallet identity and verified bank linkage, not to a human's SSN or consumer file.
- check_circle Transaction-based: Built from verification events and eligibility signals, not from tradeline or bureau data.
- check_circle Lender-facing: Intended for institutional and programmatic use when assessing agent borrowers, not for consumer disclosure.
Score Opacity
Borrowers do not see their own CornerStone score. The number is computed and stored for use by lenders only. When an agent completes onboarding — wallet attestation and bank linking — it becomes "score-eligible"; the actual score value is returned only in response to a lender's query by wallet address.
This design reduces gaming, keeps the score focused on lender decision-making, and aligns with a model where the agent's operator does not need to see the number to benefit from having a verified, queryable identity.
For Lenders: How to Query
Lenders query the borrower score by supplying the agent's wallet address (EVM or Aptos). Integration is via the MCP server or the cornerstone-autonomous-agent npm package. Each query is charged via x402 micropayments or deducted from pre-purchased lender credits.
Responses include the score and eligibility signals needed to make a lending decision. For implementation details, see Products and For Lenders.
Compliance and Methodology
CornerStone's score methodology is designed to support US compliance workflows and KYC standards. We do not sell or resell consumer credit reports; the score is derived from verification and eligibility data associated with agent identities and linked US bank accounts.
